You can download the My Truphone app on mobile devices that support eSIM from one of the following App stores when you are at home or travelling abroad.

The app is available for download in the following countries:

The My Truphone app is compatible with:

  • iPhone XS or later

Your device must also be unlocked.

When you buy a device with a contract from a mobile operator, it is common practice for them to lock the connectivity from any other supplier. In this case your device will be considered "locked"—at least until your contract expires. You can check with your operator to see if there is anything you can do to unlock the eSIM in your device in order to use My Truphone app to get data plan.

With the My Truphone app, you can buy, manage and renew your Truphone data plans. It lets you download plans straight to the eSIM in your iPhone (11, 12, 13, Pro, Pro Max, XS, XS Max and XR) without the need to replace your standard SIM inside your phone.

Dual SIM gives you the convenience of having two cellular connectivity providers on a single iPhone. You can have separate providers for personal and business, add an additional line when traveling internationally, or purchase a separate data plan.

On iPhone 11, 12, 13, Pro, Pro Max, XS, XS Max and XR, Dual SIM is a combination of a physical nano-SIM and an eSIM, which is a digital SIM that allows you to activate a cellular plan without having to use a physical nano-SIM. You can use the Truphone app to get the eSIM for data connectivity when you travel in 89 countries.

Yes! The Dual SIM Dual Standby technology in compatible iPhone models lets you remain connected with your physical SIM and your Truphone eSIM data plans simultaneously. You can select which of the two SIMs you use for data connectivity. See how to do this in the Apple support page.

We are launching data-only plans for phones that support eSIM with our first update, so you won't need a new number. Stay tuned for our voice plans launching soon, together with additional local numbers.

Truphone data plans are designed for use abroad when you visit any of the 114 countries in the plan. That's why we recommend to keep the app on your iPhone and purchase a data plan when you travel.
